FEATURE: Sweet Medicine Podcast

Written by:

I not so recently featured on the Sweet Medicine Podcast by Immaculata Abba. The podcast series is a project that advocates for the necessary place of research and practice of the humanities and social sciences in social healing. Immaculata first shared the podcast project with me during the Lagos Studies Association Conference in June 2024, and I initially wondered how my research on university architecture could fit this project since architecture is not usually the subject of such discourse.

But it was worth it. I’m so glad I could include the perspective of Nigerian university architecture in such an interesting topic. The recording was fun and educational for me as a researcher on Nigerian architecture.

Immaculata has done a great job collating rich essays and interviews with practitioners and researchers in (and on the fringes of) the humanities and social sciences. The podcast is available across streaming platforms.
